There’s no better way to de-stress from a tiring work week, recover your fatigued muscles or rejuvenate your skin with a good spa treatment. While in Bangkok, I make sure to fit in a good long session at least once a month. While traveling, it’s also always a must. Anytime I come across a good scrub or a massage worth paying for, anywhere in the world, I will share my experience with you.
If you’ve been reading my blog, you would know that I spent the weekend in Khao Yai just a while back. If you haven’t already, you can see my post full of pretty photos here. I stayed at the Kirimaya Golf Resort and of course, I booked myself in for a 2-hour treatment at the serene sanctuary called Maya Spa.
Not to exaggerate, but it was probably one of the best spa sessions I’ve had in a long time. The first hour of the treatment was a gentle exfoliation using Maya’s popular Corn Body Scrub Cream that effectively cleansed, moisturized and hydrated with its fatty acid leaving my skin super soft, smooth and smelling delicious.
At the beginning of the second hour, it was time for my 60- minute signature Maya massage that fused Thai pressure with aromatic kneading to both heal and invigorate. After smelling all the available essential oils, Corn oil was by far my favorite. Blended together with Pandanus leaf and wheatgerm extracts, the scent was divine and my skin was left glowing and totally nourished.
Next time you make a trip to Khao Yai, wrap up a great day with a great R&R. Maya Spa gave me just that.
